The following Pre-Construction Pictures were taken on August 25, 2008..

 

 

 

On September 2, 2008, the valve to the Meadow Run Lake was opened, marking the official start to the dam repair project.

 

 

On September 8, 2008, timber work began on and around the project site.

 

On September 10, 2008, minor excavating work begins on the Meadow Run Dam.

 

On September 16, 2008, some construction materials are delivered to the job site.

September 19, 2008
Water continues to drain from Meadow Run Lake, and  the job site is prepared for construction.

September 23, 2008

Hand rails are painted on the dam bridge, and construction of a coffer dam begins around the inlet to the dam valve.

September 27, 2008
Construction of coffer dam in progress and two high volume pumps are used to assist in draining Meadow Run lake.  Lake level is down approximately 6'.

Week Ending October 11, 2008
Construction of coffer dam complete, and construction of new valve in progress.













Week Ending October 18, 2008
New Valve and vault are installed in the middle of the dam.












Week Ending November 15, 2008
Preparations begin for concrete matting.  Stone being placed on entire length of dam.

Concrete matting being installed on the Dam.









Construction Was suspended for the winter months, and resumed on April 13, 2009.

Concrete matting installed on the Dam spillway, spillway walls constructed, Top soil applied to dam, seed and straw applied, fence built, and construction complete.
